01. PROMPT IDEA 💡

Automate writing Excel formulas

We all know Excel is incredibly powerful, but writing formulas is painful.

Simply describe what you want to ChatGPT in plain English, and get the perfect formula back.

Prompt:
Create an Excel formula to calculate the difference between today's date and the last day of the current month (shown in column D).

Response:
=EOMONTH(D1, 0) - TODAY()
Why this matters to Kiwi leaders

This opens the door to doing more complex tasks with Excel. It avoids the thought: “It would be good to do XYZ, but I’ll probably waste a bunch of time just working out how to do it”.

02. NEW TECH ✨

Introducing.. Perplexity

An ironic name perhaps, but Perplexity is a new online tool that simplifies search.

As well as giving you links like Google, Perplexity aggregates and summarises the findings, providing sources.

What this matters to Kiwi leaders

ChatGPT handles many questions well, however it doesn’t show you where it gets its information from. Perplexity goes out to the internet, summarises but crucially shows its sources.

03. PROMPT IDEA 💡

Practice a tricky conversation

About to have a difficult HR conversation?

A conversation with the bank you want to prepare for?

A negotiation?

Come prepared by practicing the conversation with ChatGPT first.

Prompt:
A staff member has been consistently missing appointments. I need to have a conversation with them. Please pretend to be the staff member so I can practice the conversation.

Response:
Of course, I'll play the role of the staff member. Feel free to start the conversation whenever you're ready.

Bonus tip: with ChatGPT Pro (the paid version) you can have a 2-way voice chat. Perfect for practicing while waiting or driving.
